Welcome to TaxCheckup. These Terms of Service govern your use of our tax diagnostics and second-opinion review services, information products, and any goods offered through TaxCheckup.com. By engaging with our Site or services, you agree to comply with these terms.
2. Services Overview
TaxCheckup provides specialized tax diagnostics and second-opinion review services to help users identify discrepancies, ensure compliance, and optimize filings. Our offerings are divided into:
- Professional Services: Live or virtual consultations, diagnostic reports, and review sessions.
- Information Products: Downloadable guides, templates, and educational materials.
- Goods: Printed manuals or branded stationery related to our services.
3. User Responsibilities
Users must provide accurate data, cooperate with assigned analysts, and adhere to deadlines. All communications, submissions, and interactions must be lawful and truthful. Misrepresentation or concealment of facts may lead to suspension or termination of service without refund.
4. Refund and Transfer Policy
We seek to deliver value through every engagement. Refunds and transfers are handled according to the type of purchase:
4.1 Professional Services
If you purchase a tax diagnostics or second-opinion review service, you may request a review of dissatisfaction within 7 days of receiving the final report. Upon approval, TaxCheckup will issue a refund via the original payment method within 10 business days. Service transfers to a future date are available once, provided you notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. Completed consultations, where the expert report has been delivered, are not eligible for refund due to the bespoke nature of the analysis.
4.2 Information Products
For downloadable guides and templates, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase only if no download link has been accessed. Once content is downloaded, access is deemed delivered and no refund will be issued. Refunds are processed to the original payment source within 7 business days following approval.
4.3 Goods
Physical items such as printed manuals may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unopened and in original packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the user. Upon receipt and inspection, TaxCheckup will refund the product price (excluding shipping fees) via the original payment method within 10 business days.
5. Ordering and Payment
All orders require full payment in advance. TaxCheckup uses secure processing methods. You agree to provide authorization for charges and acknowledge that no additional fees will be applied without your consent.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, analyses, and proprietary tools provided by TaxCheckup remain our exclusive property. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access and use materials for personal or internal purposes only.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxCheckup’s liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount paid by you for the service giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential effects.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
